How did you fall into the path of your business?

I became a Polarity therapist and massage therapist in 2011, shortly followed by becoming licensed in Aesthetics. Growing up my mother managed a resort spa, and I had the luxury of being a stand-in every time a new employee needed training. I started receiving regular massage and energy work at the age of 10. I've always known wellness and healing others needed to be a part of my everyday life.

What was a time you worked with another female entrepreneur and it benefited your business?

I am constantly working with, learning from, and up-leveling my business because of female entrepreneurs. I think the first time I noticed a big shift, was when I had Meredith Brockington, of Female Not Factory, working in my space. This is when I first opened Health Resonates and was still pretty slow. Every day we would work on our laptops side by side and cheer each other on. This grew into sharing networks and bringing each other in on events. The power of numbers is an amazing thing to build a business. I am so grateful that the people around me happen to be powerhouse women who can support me as much as I support them.

What advice would you give you another woman about pursuing her dreams?

Hard work pays off. We see so many people pursuing businesses these days. It is doable, but it's not easy. Plan to work nights and weekends until you get going, and rely on others to guide you. There is always room to learn.

When you’re not working where do you find joy?

I find joy with alone time when I'm not working. I give a lot of energy when I work in the service room and wear a lot of hats with running my business when I'm not with clients. When I'm off I'm receiving massages and facials, reading books, going to nature for comfort.

I also have a goal of bringing more positivity to individuals day-to-day life. I have dreams of healing energy spreading around the world, and I feel that start with empowering others to channel there own abilities to heal themselves and others through energy work.
