Top 3 Asked Questions by First Time Massage Clients

Often time first-time massage clients show up and are a little nervous. It’s totally normal! Doing anything for the first time can be intimidating, especially when it involves human touch with a stranger. But trust us; you are in good hands. Massage therapists tend to be extremely nurturing and compassionate, and they are here to help you feel relaxed and cared for. To eat your mind about receiving a massage for the first time, we are sharing with you the top 3 asked questions by first-time massage clients. Check them out;
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Q: Should I talk during my appointment?
A: You set the vibe! If you prefer some chit-chat to relax your mind, we can meet you there. Or, if you choose to zen out in silence, that's normal too!

Q: How do I know what type of massage I'll like?
A: You won't know until you try. Luckily our skilled massage therapist can meet you where you are; all we ask is that you share with us if you aren't enjoying something. Don't hesitate to ask for more or less pressure, request an eye covering, warmer room temp, or table heat.

Q: What do I wear?
A: Undress to your comfort; you will always be covered with a sheet and blanket, so if you prefer to cozy up under them bare, that is totally fine. You are also more than welcome to wear underwear, shorts, or any other clothing that makes you feel relaxed, just know that certain materials may affect the flow of the service.

The best bet for a fantastic service is clear communication; if something distracts you from your zen, please bring it up, and we will do our best to make appropriate adjustments. If after these Q&A’s you still aren’t sure if you are ready to come in for a massage, we recommend starting with a 30-minute massage to give it a try.

30-minutes of massage is still super helpful. We encourage you to choose a few areas for your Licensed Massage Therapist to focus on instead of trying to get a full body massage. This will help you maximize your time and make the 30 minutes seem to last longer.

A few of our favorite focus combos for a first-time massage are as follows;
-Neck & back.
-Neck, arms, & feet.
-Neck, Scalp, & Face.

We hope you enjoy your first massage!
